Life and Hippos

It started with a single line in my head about a hippo with a big behind. I didn't know where it was going, or how it would end, but it helped to keep me awake during the commute to work.



But Harry the Hippo opened up a door to a place where I found I could express things I couldn't say in any other way.

Poetry provided an emotional outlet when I needed it and made me really look at what I was feeling and what was important.



This is a mixture of fun and hope and reflection, and no small amount of someone just telling himself to get on with life.
