Publisher Description
I call this anthology 'Lifescan ' because the poems included follow my journey through a now quite long and varied life.
Of course, you can be too parochial as well as is the case here in Wales where literary grants and publications are dominated by a chronic cronyism that makes me ashamed to be Welsh, and to make things worse: these characters assume the trendy left wing stance!
To come down off the soapbox: many of the pieces included here reflect my own experiences, while others are not empirical at all.
'Uncle Tal' though did exist and was my mother's brother who perished with so many others in the 1914 - 18 war. His namesake: the great Welsh poet, Taliesin. He wrote that he 'was the child of the summer stars', thus anticipating scientific theory by fourteen hundred years.
