LNG Projects Offer Short Term Solution to Gas Shortage

Byline: Najam Haider Mismanagement and non prudent policies over the decades had led Pakistan to energy crisis. Decision makers and energy masters in different era either failed to gauge the future situation or bowed down to political pressure for providing gas to more and more areas as well as Independent Power Plants. This miscalculation and willing or unwilling widening the consumers base and finally introducing the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) system further aggravated the situation.
