Good but predictable
Not a bad read, but for me there’s a glaring error. (Mild spoilers incoming). Towards the end, Jules understands she is in mortal danger and that almost everyone in the building is implicated in some way. Yet, she still believes there’s payment coming at the end of the week? I know she’s desperate for money, but I refuse to believe anyone in their right mind could be so naive. She had contacts in the city at this point, at the women’s shelter too, she only had to tough it out for max 1-2 days before her friend would be available. Some suspension of disbelief needed here! But the ending made up for it.
