Publisher Description
"It is said that having dementia is like standing in a busy airport. Everything speeds up around you while you stay still. Only things are not getting faster. Your brain is slowly shutting down. Gradually a person with dementia will lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, dress or even go to the toilet unaided. Standing alone in that airport must be the scariest moment in your life. It was for my father"
Rosie Boycott, Alzheimer's Society Ambassador.
This is a story of one person and there are many others living with dementia. It is not easy to think that one day you may forget everything you know, including the cities you lived in. We do not know how long our memories will last...
The project "London on my mind" was formed from this idea. This book features the work of twenty-four PwC employees who have volunteered to share their photos taken in London. They left a mark to their memories and showed us this amazing city through their eyes!
I hope this book will help to increase people's awareness of Alzheimer's and raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. I would like to thank all contributors and readers of this book for their support.
All profit from this book goes to Alzheimer's Society to support the fight against dementia.
