Look Down the Street

Young children learn by direct experience especially if these are connected to their senses. Look Down the Street recalls a few of the places and times that were remembered by the children who walked with me in New York City around the block or into Central Park. Our walks led to many talks together about the people we saw as well. I want children, even young ones, to have a knowledge and understanding of the world they live in. Using their own perceptions, they can write and illustrate books themselves.
