Lost Love

Faye Daniel lost her breath at the first sight of Cal Bradon, like so many of his fans did. She quickly regained her composure and wiped her index fingers briefly underneath her eyes to erase any trace of residual mascara.
Her heart pounded erratically as it gained more rigor by the millisecond. She held her chest and turned away before Cal noticed the woman he phoned seven years ago to tell her he still loved her.
She heaved deep breaths of air and felt almost as if she was going to suffocate in her own intense emotions of lost love. That was a long time ago. Many things had changed, except loving him. Everything in her body pulsed the beat of that element at that very moment. Nevertheless, she knew she could do what she had ventured there to do, in spite of her feelings for him, and still walk away as she'd done before.
