Lost Things

Sam is a loner who prefers to call the open road his home. His life is carefree—a constant change of scenery and zero commitments, just the way he and his pitbull passenger like it.

Pearl is a photographer who has just accepted the feature assignment of her dreams. Her subjects—Vermont's oldest covered bridges—have none of the baggage humans bring. But lately, Pearl's nights have been consumed by a darker undertaking: outrunning the faceless threat that haunts her dreams. Each passing mile brings her closer to the truth behind the nightmares.

Sam and Pearl have little in common—he needs an escape plan and she's desperate for closure—but then their paths converge to lead them to the same realization . . . that sometimes home is much closer than it seems.
