Wonderful series. I've loved John's story through out!
Too many side stories
I love John and Xhex’s story, but this book had so many other side stories going on which, for me, took away from the overall enjoyment of it. I also found all the side stories rather boring. Along with John and Xhex’s story (and not really woven into their story) there was also Wrath and Payne, Eliahu Rathborne, Greg and Holly, Blay and Saxton, Qhuinn and Layla, Darius and Tohrment. At the very end of the book, Darius and Tohrment’s story came full circle and made a connection to John and Xhex’s, but I found that portion rather long winded for the end result. I know that all the side stories will be tied into the larger picture of the series at some point, but in the end I found this book to be unsatisfying.
