LUCES DE BOHEMIA

The play narrates the last hours of the life of Max Estrella, a "hyperbolic Andalusian, poet of odes and madrigals" now elderly, miserable and blind who at some point enjoyed some recognition. On his pilgrimage through a dark, murky, marginal and sordid Madrid he is accompanied by Don Latino de Hispalis and given the replica by some other characters of the bohemian Madrilenian of the time. In his dialogues, criticisms of the official culture and the social and political situation of a Spain condemned not to recognize its heroes are masterfully poured out.
