Lucy’s Hearth
This book by M. Lee Prescott was well written. However, there were too many characters introduced which broke the flow while reading as I was constantly trying to connect relationships. It would be a better read if characters were introduced gradually as the series goes forward.
A cozy small town romance
The book was sweet with an interesting wind of characters. Like most books in a series, the side-characters’ lives intertwine setting the stage for future publications; unfortunately, with so many it often felt like a map or table with a who’s-who was needed at times. The writing was nice and imaginative. I prefer more description regarding the cast’s feelings but that is not the author’s style if you are also into that. Instead it is a warm, slow brew of emotions that lead to a happily-ever/after.
