Luminescence : Book Two: Waking

Just as Sret starts to find his purpose as the Luner, it is time for him to go. His mentor, the Moon Goddess, Lunyae, has been with him every step of the way, but now she says it's time to journey to Opulentia, a city in the south, with only his family, a map, and a new set of clothes. But Sret's sister, Mae, is separated and captured by Opulentian soldiers, barely managing to escape before meeting the Dueling Marauders, a group of boys who make a living by mugging passerby. Her life is spared, but she must pay the price of serving Taeshk, the young leader. She discovers a new life, thus losing the will to go home. Sret learns how to handle his powers, but his opposite, Solina, is having problems. She is engaged to charming Prince Ludios, and while her time is spent at his side, she loses the chance to train. She counts the days to spring, where her hope lies steadily that the Luner will help her stop The Evil before his seventeen year plan unfolds.
