“Made of steel” by ivy smoak
I loved Summer and her precociousness as a child. Her childhood with Miles was beautifully portrayed. Poor Sadie who just wants to belong and heal. She is the typical insecure teenager. Why would Miles be enthralled with Sadie? He doesn’t even know her. Sadie is so wishy washy. She keeps changing her mind as to who is safe and who’s dangerous. She bases these decisions on very little evidence. Confusing. Unlike the book “The truth in my lies” (5 stars) where you were kept on your toes with its many twists and turns, Sadie, in this book is annoying in her indecisiveness. First her friends make her feel safe and then they don’t.
