Magic House

Katie Apperson is alone in a big beautiful house. The ending of the marriage ruins her self-esteem and even worse, makes her the butt of snickering gossip and the benefactor of cruel vandalism.  She is suffering the worst of a terror campaign perpetrated by the son of the person her husband has left her for, when out of nowhere, and albeit in a sheriff cruiser instead of on a white horse, appears Katie's knight in shining sheriff's uniform.  The intensely gorgeous John Hayhurst is an interim sheriff imported from another county.  He is everything Katie's husband could never been.  He fights her battles.  He smooths things over.  He makes things right.  He mends her heart.  Magic House.
