Making an Impact

A brief overview of Impact Therapy, with emphasis on the Process of Change, which is necessary to implement effective strategies in group and individual counseling, this book is intended to be a helpful guide for novice Substance Abuse Counselors and group facilitators. Ideas include the implementation of tripartite therapy, descriptions of the process of experiencing pain and pleasure as need and motivation to begin the process of change, and helpful ideas, a few handouts, and thought provoking questions for a few group activities.
