Nash and Nixie's story of tragedy and heartache had me racing through the pages. They both had secrets that affected them so deeply that they didn't want to share them. Nash is a player ... he only does one-night-stands, but when he saves Nixie from two thugs in an alley, he is captivated by her and can't get her out of his head. He is protective over his family ... but never a woman, especially one he just met. I loved the banter between them, especially the texting. The blurp talks about a marriage of convenience ... so, I was a little confused as that didn't happen till well into the last half of the book ... I thought it would have come in sooner. This is a great addition to the series and I can't wait for the next book.
