Disaster befalls young writer, George Wordworthy. He surfaces in Manhattan with a chance to fulfill dreams of finding an adventure worth writing. One bold move lands him in the company of sultry singer Alice, who opens the door to the hot, loud world of Jazz. George gets swept away with the music. He falls in with an intoxicating new crowd.
