This work by John O'Donnell, a physician and later political figure in Manitoba, recounts his experience of the Red River Rebellion and the North-West trouble in Canada during the days of Louis Riel in this work. O'Donnell was a justice of the peace and was the person who made out Louis Riel's arrest warrant in 1870 when the Wolseley Expedition arrived.
