An underlying objective of this book is to promote an awareness about and familiarization with the language of maps. Forty-four geographical map terms have been selected, defined, identified and used as vehicles to reinforce interesting ways geography has played a role in determining various historical outcomes. In addition all of the terms treated include summary highlights featuring salient aspects of how MAPS TELL STORIES TOO. Many of the terms include illustrations designed to augment map understandings.
