USA TODAY BESTSELLER • When the Carolina Cold Fury’s hottest young star gets blindsided by an ex with a scandalous secret, it’s game on.
“One of the best voices in contemporary romance.”—New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne
Marek Fabritis is used to delivering blows, not receiving them. But when he gets tipped off by an anonymous email about his ex-girlfriend, the news leaves him ice cold—and it’s not because Gracen Moore is getting married to a total jerk. It’s the fact that Marek has a three-year-old daughter he never knew about. Now he’s going back home, not to play knight in shining armor but to make damn sure that no man takes what’s his. For the first time, there might be something more important than hockey.
Gracen Moore has always loved Marek. That’s why she let him go, so he could pursue a career in the NHL. And that’s why she never told him about Lilly. Only now does Gracen realize that she made an unforgivable mistake. But is that any reason for Marek to crash her wedding and make an epic scene? If the spark that still smolders between them is to be trusted, maybe. Still, Gracen’s not getting her hopes up. Because she knows better than anyone that appearances aren’t always what they seem. . . .
Praise for Marek

Customer Reviews
4 1/2 Stars ... a GREAT addition to the Cold Fury Series
Marek and Gracen were high school sweethearts, but when Marek got drafted to the NHL he broke up with her. He wanted to enjoy his new found star status, along with all the benefits (if you know what I mean) and the last thing he needed was a girlfriend. Four years later when he finds out he is the father to a 3-year old little girl, he interrupts Gracen`s wedding and brings Gracen and Lily home with him. Gracen was kinda glad when Marek showed up because she was being blackmailed into getting married. But now Marek and Gracen have to navigate through this new arrangement for the sake of their daughter Lily. But neither one could get over the hurt they had caused each other ... back then and now.
My heart just broke for this whole situation. I could see why Marek was mad at Gracen for not telling him he was a father, but I could also see why Gracen didn't because he told her in no uncertain terms that he didn't want her in his life. Little Lily was just a joy! What a sweet accepting little girl ... she made me laugh A LOT! This is one of those books that makes you feel every emotion ... joy, laughter, sorrow, heartbreak ... and the sex scenes were HOT! I recommend not only this book, but the entire series.
I received an ARC courtesy of Random House - Loveswept through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
Repetitive
I have read all the books in the series and some are better than others but this one was really boring and repetitive. The story start with them already supposedly “in love” which you never get since they just fight and there is no real memories of how they felt in love so you never get the connection to their story. Honestly, even If i don’t consider the lack of connection, the story is just so boring! I kept skipping pages hoping for better but nope it never did get better
