Mass Extinctions

At least five times in Earth's history, environmental catastrophes have caused a majority of species to go extinct. These so called mass extinctions are potent examples of what can happen in the face of rapid environmental change. This book showcases the work of HHMI BioInteractive, including interactive graphics, animations, and videos, designed to examine the evidence and causes of mass extinctions and what we can learn about how humans are affecting the planet.
