THE STORY
Ferren Areios, Captain of the Ultramarines Sixth Company, has been dispatched to retake the worlds of the Reach and cleanse them of the Death Guard’s corruption. As the Plague Marines dig in and the death toll rises to catastrophic heights, Ferren is pushed to the limits of his Chapter’s creed. Isolated in the Plague God’s domain, the reclamation fleet fights not only for the worlds of the Reach, but for what remains of Ferren’s own humanity.

Bland, pointless, and redundant.
Endless repeatitive descriptions of the smallest actions, like reloading a gun. Pointless descriptions of weaponry and armor that come off like the author is trying to push the figurines moreso than expanding the universe. Character development that well, to put it nicely… doesn’t develop. An ending that ends abruptly with a plot twist one can see coming from eons away.
I’ve read hundreds of Warhammer novels, and unfortunately this was one of the bottom top in quality.
