The edition of Master Skylark with illustrations by Henry Pitz first appeared in 1922. It one of a series of successful historical novels by John Bennett, and remains by far his most popular and widely read work. The superbly drawn chapter headings and drawings that pepper the text add further to the narrative, transporting the reader to this majestic era long ago.
