Meehaneeto
The story of Meehaneeto follows the familiar parent-child relationship from youth to adulthood. As the story begins, the parent offers direction and caution as the youth pushes away to explore the “Meehaneeto” which seems to represent both the future and a known and perhaps unwanted or feared past/present. As time passes, the child grows amid the technological automation of various industries. The second half of the story leads the reader through conversation and reflection as the mother connects with her daughter and grandchildren at a later date. Engaging and thought-provoking, Meehaneeto presents the reader with many opportunities to consider and explore issues including data, privacy, AI, Facial Recognition, Ethics, Freedom, Democracy and more.
