Chris is just an ordinary guy enduring yet another sweltering Houston, Texas, summer. The kind of summer that casts mirages and makes the air shimmer; making Chris see things that aren't there. Things like a shadowy figure staring at him with burning red eyes. However, it's not real, just the heat getting to him, making him go a little crazy.
