Publisher Description

Caleb was born with autism. His grandmother keeps him so his dad can work. He takes speech and social therapy to help him in school.
One day, Caleb said, "Let's write another book, and let me draw the pictures." He calls me Granny to differentiate between his grandmother and me, his great-grandmother. He loves the children's book that I wrote so much that he sleeps with it every night. The title of that book is The Parables of Pauline. After practicing drawing those pictures, now he wants us to draw in a new book. I am so proud of him that we have produced this book of metaphors. We hope you like it.
I also hope you like his pictures with the understanding that he is only nine years old. Mrs. Jo Ann Slappy, the artist who drew some of these pictures, has agreed to give him some art lessons. That will help him to improve and do better. We might write another book when he can do all the artwork. Won't that be wonderful?
