Meet Michael & Ralph, the most unusual pair of friends indeed. It may be hard to believe, but soon you will see how Michael the squirel becomes friends with a rat named Ralph. Learn to let go of your fears of new places or getting to know different people who may not look like you. Most importantly, we want to teach little ones to be kind to themselves, others, and animals.



About the Author



Jestina Weems wrote Micheal & Rolph back in 2012 for her oldest son and named the characters after her two brothers who had passed away. As a mother, Weems illustrates how many of us struggle with misconceptions, self-identity, love, courage, and choices; and how it's ok to be wrong sometimes, especially when you have been misinformed. The book teaches children how to be kind and loving not only to others but to themselves.



Rodney Sanon's illustrations truly bring the book to life. With over a decade of experience, the characters in this book feel like they're popping straight off the page. Children will see and feel the excitement of the story as they turn each page.



Our editor was an intern named Evelyn Bradley. She did an amazing job grammatical and helping create descriptive dialogue that gave the character more emotional content.
