Midnight

With Carla's mother trapped in the dark underbelly of the Denver airport, Shade heads to Loch Ness to visit the Midnight Court and gather a Shadow Si strike force, but the Shadow Si are not what he expects. He mistakes a foe for a friend and loses the most precious piece of his soul, a piece that could destroy his love for Carla.

When Shade leaves to go to the Midnight Court, Carla fears he will settle into the shadows and never return to her. She travels with her father to rally an Aos Si army to stop those who support the destruction of the humans and an Aos Si New World Order. When she realizes that even her father's closest kin won't stand with him and fight, she heads to Denver to face her enemies and free her mother on her own.
