To the outside world she grew up in a normal, loving family, but behind closed doors things were different. Her Grandma's love was often all she had.
When Posie's suppressed memories start interfering with her daily life she finds she must face the past. Outwardly she is successful with a rising career and young family but internally she is haunted by her parents' domestic violence and abuses. Through a child's eye she reveals what it was like to grow up in a dysfunctional family; the pain of being forgotten and abused, yet the heart of the story is how she grew to forgive and move beyond it as an adult.
