Father Giacomo gestured to a cluster of chairs that made a semi-circle around the fireplace. He took a chair in the center.

“I have heard very good things about your community service activities,” he said, breaking the silence at long last.

“Thank you Father,” Mother Superior responded.

“I am very interested in learning more about what you do and how you do it,” Father Giacomo said, ignoring Mother Superior and directing his question at Father Gordon.

Sister Mary heard something in his voice that indicated to her that Father Giacomo wasn’t interested in hearing about what they had done. He was interested in sampling it.
