This is a collection of four books: Music-lovers, The Pop Festival, Silent Faces at the Races, The Film Festival. The Pop Festival is set at the beginning of the 21st century. Pop culture by this time has long faded into the past. All the movements and cults of the twenty-first century go into the city to celebrate the old Pop Festival. The event takes place every year, and it gives the people of the new era a chance to try and understand what pop culture was all about. The novel was first published in 1995. At the racetrack, where lots of original cults and interesting people gather, one man predicts he is going to win every race. The mad gambler reckons he is going to buy a big house so that the woman he loves will marry him. The third novel of the Silent Trilogy looks back at the wonderful world of film. The Film Festival celebrates the old outdated medium; for cinema and TV are of little interest to the people of the new century. So once again all the new movements and cults of the 21st century head for the city for a festival. In a strange twist of fate a drama unfolds at the Film Festival similar to the film: Murder on the Midnight Train.
