This true life story feels like a friend writing to you direct from the 1960s. Tony Norman lives in Swinging London and the city is at the heart of youth culture worldwide. He has two dreams. First to appear on his fave TV music show Ready Steady Go! with his mates in Mod teenage group The Rest. Second to make it as a rock writer, interviewing heroes like John Lennon and Mick Jagger.


His journey from school to Fleet Street brings the times alive. London is bursting with life and energy. An optimistic city where new ideas are born every day. His TV dream never comes true, but Tony does become a journalist and along the way meets John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Mick Jagger, The Who, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton and the Spencer Davis Group.
