Publisher Description
I'm used to helping people fight for their lives. But I've never had anyone in my corner before...
The ER department is chaotic and intimidating to most. But for me, it's one of the few places where I don't feel like a disappointment.
Heading up the team of a busy Philadelphia hospital isn't exactly a picnic, but I'm confident here. Untouchable.
That is, until Carter Grange walks through the door.
He might be a little banged up, but that doesn't stop his muscular frame rippling with power — or his deep blue eyes from piercing my soul. Carter is definitely not the sort of man I need right now, but when we find ourselves thrust together again by pure chance...well, the chemical pull is irresistible.
Problem is, I have a messy past snapping at my heels, and a young daughter to protect from its clutches. This tattooed mobster isn't the kind of man I should be playing house with.
But when push comes to shove, will Carter step into the ring for us?
Customer Reviews
Good
I’ve read all the books in this series and enjoyed them - well, the stories with similar book covers, they don’t appear to be labeled as a series but I’m guessing they are. This story was enjoyable about Carter and Cat. This pair is definitely opposites attract - one rich, one poor. Like her father, Cat grew up and became a doctor and even though she accomplished this she was expected to be a trophy wife (don’t think so). Carter was given a new life and saved from the streets by the mafia. He is loyal to them and made them his adopted family. Events arise that cause Cat's to feel threatened from her past. I loved the suspense - an enjoyable read.

My Fight
This story was keeping me on the edge on my chair from very beginning.
My fight, the storyline, the drama and suspense.
The steamy romance. It was mafia style with bad and good.
Great series.
