My First Trip Home -- Children's Book

My First Trip Home is a story of a young American-born Black kid who experienced racism in America simply for the color of his skin. His parents are both originally from Ghana. They came to America on college scholarships. Both of Montez's parents experienced racism during their younger days just like Montez. They tried their best to shield him from the racism in America to enjoy their lives here.

Join Montez and his family on a journey as he experiences trials, disappointments and tribulations to help him understand who he is. His parents takes him on a journey of his life to help him experience the idea of being home! My First Trip Home is an eye-opening book to help kids better understand racism in America. At the same time, this book is meant to give kids of color an exceptional outlook at life and know just who they truly are and where they come from.
