My Love Inside Me

This is a story about how my life ended…

It was a dark and stormy night…yeah that cliché never ended well. And it didn't for my boyfriend, that night he had picked me up from work.

I really thought I would miss him more than I did, but over the years people change, and just when you think you know someone, you really don't.

My life continued. I went to work. I saw my friends. But it all seemed so monotonous. I began not to care about anything. My depression was real. Although I tried not to miss the love of my life, I did.

I didn't realize what was happening to me until I stopped showing up to work, and my best friend showed up at my doorstep looking for me. She wanted to know what was going on, but I didn't have an answer. I even began to question everything, to include my sanity.

They say what goes bump in the night cant hurt you, but they haven't spent the night in my house. And when you look in the mirror to see that your image is no longer your own.

It's my love inside me…
