My Name Is Difrient

Immigrating to America had both hardships and rewards. All Americans

are immigrants and the result of courageous people who left their

homeland in hopes of a better life. This is the story of a family that

immigrated from Germany in the 1870-1880s. They had little in the way

of income and opportunity. With hard work they over came challenges

to make their way. A basic belief was honesty and fairness in all of their

dealings with others. They developed good values in their children. Yes,

they were good citizens in the communities where they lived.
