Publisher Description
Eons ago, vampires tried to turn the dark Fae to harness their magic, only to create a demonic enemy more powerful than they could have imagined. Now, the Vampiric Fae are on the move, hunting anyone in their path. As the war with the vampires ratchets up, Myst, Queen of the Indigo Court, enshrouds New Forest in her chilling grasp.
Cicely Waters had always thought she was simply one of the magic-born-a witch who can control the wind-but recently she discovered she's also one of the shifting Fae. Now she must perfect her gift. Because Cicely and her friends may have escaped from Myst and her Shadow Hunters, but Myst has managed to capture the Fae Prince who holds Cicely's heart.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Galenorn continues the Indigo Court series (launched with Night Myst) with this muddled quest story. Wind witch Cicely Waters feverishly endures erotic bloodsuckings from "good" (or is he?) vampire Grieve, the soul mate Cicely is trying to free from the clutches of fae queen Myst, and "bad" (or is he?) vampire Lannan Altos. Cicely is also the fulcrum in the predictable battle between Myst and Geoffrey, another powerful "good" vampire. Veteran paranormal romance author Galenorn can create respectably colorful fantasy settings like the exotic Court of Dreams, but howlers like Lannan calling Cicely a "lovely young juice box" somewhat diminish their dramatic power. Even Galenorn's helpful dramatis personae and playlist of presumably inspirational recordings can't save this effort from lurid banality.
