No Man's Land

It is a collection of stories of the British experience of WW I, from the beginning to near the end. The stories center on the lives of individual soldiers, both officers and enlisted, in the trenches of France and does a good job of conveying the fears, conditions, deaths, and everyday life of the soldiers facing the horrors of the first modern war, and covers a lot of aspects and details now virtually forgotten.
