No Strings

All it took was narrow road, a large truck and a gust of wind to change Melissa's entire life. Now she was finally on the road to recovery, physically. Her body was healing, but her heart was another story. Everything she had believed about her life and her long time girlfriend was even more shattered than her body had been. The only thing she was sure of was that she couldn't stay in L.A.

The house she had inherited from her grandmother was perfect. She needed a place to recuperate and try to make some sense of the chaos her life had become. She hadn’t counted on all of the questions starting over would bring up; questions about the life she’d lived and what kind of life she wanted for her future. There was also the mystery of why her mother had left town before Melissa was born and never returned.

She also hadn’t counted on meeting someone like Tori. Their friendship was almost instantaneous and each had their own reasons for not wanting a serious romantic relationship. They both soon realized, however, that the chemistry between them was going to be hard to ignore.
