Life in Alaska's sub-arctic is difficult enough and when a man from the Adirondack Mountains takes a job as a dog musher in the region, he learns what it is to live as a minority for the first time. Eventually, life brings him back to Southeast Alaska, the place he fell in love with two decades earlier.
