That person mysteriously disappears from sight.

Ignirtoq hides in a hole on the riverbank and calls his brother and tells him that he is dying.

He insists that Alex Evercrest in Cincinnati needs to come to Alaska to investigate his death.

Alex reluctantly agrees to come to Alaska and see if she can determine how Ignirtoq was killed.
