A woman is found dead in her room at the care home she lived in, strangled and left lying on her Chinese rug. The death is motiveless, the room otherwise untouched, expensive objects left unstolen; meanwhile, even the fellow residents admit their friend's life was largely a mystery to them, with "decades left unaccounted for".Investigating the crime, detectives discover a whole alternative history of their town; a history that takes in rivalries, crimes, social upheaval, family heartbreak; and ultimately offers the solution to the mystery they are facing.

Not a Very Nice Woman
The story is a good one. The small regular typos and missed words detract from the reading experience. A little slow to get going, but a good story after the first 60 pages.
would have loved it, I think.
I might have been able to continue reading this book, if it had been edited and spell checked. Which really sucks because i was enjoying the overall story of the book. I just can’t continue, or finish reading this interesting story with all the misspelling, and mistakes.... sorry, i love diving into a good book. I suppose it hinders my personal enjoyment of any book/ story. As if someone is reciting a poem backwards.
