Disappointing is not a strong enough word
I finished reading the book a little while ago, and I'm repulsed.
Eli Killgore is a sleaze (and not just because he works in PE).
Rue Siebert has as much personality as a cardboard box.
And I did not need to read their messed up “confessions" to one another throughout the entire book. It made me feel as dirty and disgusting as this poorly written erotica novel.
I love that Hazelwood writes about women in STEM, but there wasn't a lot of science and too many "quirky", horny characters- it was overkill.
I'd expect that from her teens in Check&Mate, not whatever this mess of a book was.
Some people choose quality over quantity, Ali Hazelwood is not one of them. She's tossing out books left and right and they're getting worse and worse.
