Newcastle is a season feathered lullaby, all cherry and layered, the warm triangles on the floor, the splinters in the quiet parts of town. It is the fellow disjecta, the unmitigated data flow beneath jigsaw daylight, the sun that tumbles like a fugue. It is a wonderful city.
