Description de l’éditeur
I killed a man to protect my sister, and now I am a fugitive. With bounty hunters hot on my trail— willing to take me dead or alive— I’m forced to disguise myself as a cabin boy on the Bella Donna. I should have been safe at sea, but I cannot escape the dangerous feelings evoked by the ship's handsome captain.
For I am Merisol, one of the adoptive daughters of Lady Eville, and to escape my past and save my friends I will make an uncertain bargain with a shady sea witch. The deal sounds too good to be true. What could possibly go wrong?

Another gem!
I’ve yet to meet a book by this author I don’t like. Her characters, her stories, they pull you in and once you hit fifty pages you’re reading the entire book before you’ll put it down. Of Sea and Song is no exception.
Loosely based on the classic tale of The Little Mermaid, this story adds layers to it you didn’t know you wanted until you get them. Meri is a daughter of Eville and because of that she grew up with her seven sisters and adoptive mother, magical outcasts. After an accident while defending her sister, Meri flees only to be pursued by bounty hunters. She’s helped by a handsome stranger, who gets her away, but she gives him the slip as well. Disguising herself as a boy, she finds herself hiding on a ship captained by the same stranger. Meri and Brennon face a lot of obstacles, half of which could be avoided if they trusted each other with the truth a little more. The portion on ship is genuinely my favourite. A few scenes left me slightly confused, just because of an abrupt change I couldn’t quite follow, but all in all, it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. Oh and the epilogue really has me ready for the next book.
