5 Stars for the Rockstar and his Ballerina!
This book got my attention in the first chapter and held me captive till the end. I loved Nate and Alexis and I was rooting for them to have a happily-ever-after. Alexis sacrificed everything to dance and that takes strength and guts. Nate ... what a hunk! Who doesn't love a broken brooding rockstar? This book made me laugh, cry and swoon ... all the emotions to make a good book great!
When Nate and Alexis were teenagers, they planned on being together forever. But when Alexis got the chance to follow her dream of becoming a ballerina in New York, her sister talks her into taking that chance and she leaves Nate behind. Even though Nate's been trained in classical music, he has a band with his friends. After Alexis breaks his heart, he decides to follow his bandmates and it doesn't take long for them to make it big, playing to sold out venues everywhere. But when Nate injures his hand (on his bandmates face), he has to take the time to rehab it. Alexis' dream comes true and she is the lead ballerina in New York, but after an ankle injury she's taking longer than expected to get back to dancing. Nate and Alexis didn't realize that they live only a few blocks apart in New York and have a mutual friend that will bring them together to rehab. It's fate that Nate and Alexis meet again.
Nate's bandmates in "The Unbroken" all have their quirks and I can't wait to read their stories. I'm also going to have to go back to Beekman Hills book 3 "Tunes" to read Gavin's story.
