Offensive Training Football, Spanish Training Methodology

I would like say to whoever that is expecting great football analysis, methods in training sessions and practical ideas that solve all your problems... You choose the wrong book, because the idea that we, Juan Carlos and I, want to show is that football Is something simple and that those things that we believe are coherent and rational are the ones that we have to transmit to the player, that is the axis on which everything is involved and related.

We split the book in two parts. A first that tries to express our ideas on aspects that concern coaches and football people.

A second, which describes what we consider which are the bases of the offensive football training. And it is there where we try to combine theory (framed in very simple maps in which relations between terms are expressed), practice (through exercises that exemplify the conceptual work) and methodology (different ways to carry out those exercises).

I could expose more ideas, yes. I could design more tasks, yes. And I could write pages and pages to make it look like a big football encyclopaedia. But the coach is not made through copies. The football coach is built and transformed for him/herself, after listening and reading different opinions, such as those that Valerón exposes in the book. You must read and reflect on them, and that will give you some principles and ideas that you have to develop as a coach.

The theory is necessary to know, but neither is it essential to work deep with it forgetting the essential of our work, which is the implementation of that theory into the practice.

No one could think to find master tasks. They are practical exercises, useful and effective and above all should encourage you to build on your own, based on the ideas we generate through the book.

Finally I want to emphasize that the secret will be in the correct methodology for the implementation of your training and this is one of the main aspects we repeat again and again through the book.
