Publisher Description
She vowed never to love him. He’s determined to prove she already does.
Max Grove—brilliant, brooding, and billionaire—is the world’s most eligible bachelor and my best friend’s older brother. We’ve known each other for years, but now we’re alone in his family’s Lake Como villa, and everything has changed.
He’s always wanted me. I’ve always resisted. My heart still carries the ache of a past love, and giving in to Max would mean breaking a promise I swore I’d keep.
But the way he looks at me… The way he touches me… I can’t ignore the heat between us—or the truth I’ve tried so hard to deny.
Loving him could mean losing everything. But what if it means finally getting it all?
Once Upon an Unrequited Love is an emotional, passionate billionaire romance featuring a guarded heroine, a relentless hero, breathtaking Italian views, and a heart-melting HEA. Perfect for fans of brother’s best friend, grief-to-healing, and unforgettable love against all odds.
Customer Reviews
A compelling, quiet end to a series
I have read each book in the series with the Groves and Lords and set a reminder in my calendar to purchase this one as the earlier books and the teaser for this book so compelled me. This book, the last in the series, was gentle and thorough to close up a broken heart as Lake, recently widowed from Mason, reunites with Max, her late husband’s enemy and the one man she has chosen to never like. A tad anti-climactic and lacking in the usual spiciness of Zooey Locke, it is nevertheless sweet and fulfilling. It ties up some loose ends and isn’t too cluttered with memories and name dropping, which can happen as a series carries on, trying to fulfill the unspoken requests from readers of the previous instalments in the series to update on how their favourite, beloved characters - now friends in our hearts - have proceeded in life. Sweet, compelling and finalizing. It’s sad to see them all go.
