Poetry rarely escapes place; these poems are called up from those places where I have been, those places where I am now and those places where I dream about.



In his excellent book The Poetics of Space Gaston Bachelard skillfully describes places and spaces in ways that encouraged me to think more of the places and my relationships to those places.



Poetry rarely escapes relationships; these poems are called up from fixed and broken relationships that continue to feed into my conscious and unconscious mind.



I do not have a similar reference for relationships as for the one offered for place, instead I offer up my poetry, such that it adds in its own way to the body of work on relationship and place
