ONE HOT HOLIDAY is the sixth instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult WILDE WAYS romantic suspense series. This is Point Hope, Alabama Sheriff / former Navy SEAL Spencer Lane, and twenty four year old, art gallery manager Haley Quick’s story line. ONE HOT HOLIDAY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.
Told from several third person perspectives including Spencer and Haley ONE HOT HOLIDAY follows the building relationship between Sheriff / former Navy SEAL Spencer Lane, and twenty four year old, art gallery manager Haley Quick. Haley Quick is on the run but refuses to admit to her new landlord, Sheriff Spencer Lane that trouble follows in her wake. From the outset, Haley is stalked by someone from her past, and within hours of arriving in Point Hope, Alabama, Haley’s life continues to spiral out of control. Sheriff Spencer Lane will call in additional help from Wilde Security, in an effort to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love. What ensues is the quick building relationship and love between Spencer and Haley, and the potential fall-out as Haley wants to run in an effort to stay one-step ahead of those trying to destroy her life, people who have found our story line heroine.
Haley Quick was supposed to be in witness protection but powerful people have been ‘bought’ and Haley’s life hangs in the balance. From the FBI to private investigators, everyone is searching for our story line heroine, in the hopes of silencing Haley for good. Sheriff Spencer Lane knows immediately that something is wrong with his new tenant. Frightened and quick to run, Haley feels trapped even with the help of the local Sheriff’s office and the man with whom Haley will fall in love.
The relationship between Spencer and Haley is one of insta-lust to love. Spencer Lane’s attraction to Haley is palpable, and within hours Spencer is hoping for his own happily ever after. Haley had hoped to start her life over in the small town of Point Hope, Alabama, and meeting Spencer Lane gave our heroine pause for a possible future but a future that is threatened by someone from her past.
